I see more and more infusers using it over WoH.

Was talking with some players from GN, they said it's a reliable replacement vs. WoH against most team set-ups at the moment. Apparently if something needs a heal as big as WoH's (with the conditional) they'd rather infuse it.

Any more thoughts?

I could see it being used on maps such as Burning, where it's pretty tight. infusing something that needs the woh heal is variable, there could be something on you, you can't infuse yourself, and you waste another 5-10 healing yourself up.


also the recharge! xD 1 second is so important!

I can see their argument, which is basically this:

If you're dealing with spikes or heavy single target pressure coming in so fast that it can't be stopped with prot and then outhealed with RC/patient or a 3/4th sec heal (be it word or burst), infuse is often necessary anyway.

If you're dealing with widespread pressure where you would normally be using WoH has a purely redbar skill, Burst does equally well if not better because of the way its bonus differs from Word. Assume 3 or 4 people in earshot of eachother when targeting midline, and enough divine favour to pop 20hp of Pheal. Means that overall Burst still heals for a crude average of 220 hp, which is far from bad. (for your consideration: WoH heals for 225 or so, with the conditional triggered.)

That's not what they're saying. They aren't using Infuse as a replacement for word. They're using healing burst as a replacement for word. Word heals 225 when procced. Hburst's single target heal is 145. The argument is this: If a bar is dropping so fast that a 3/4th cast 145hp heal + whatever the prot is throwing on it, can't save or heal it back up fast enough, you would have had to infuse anyway, regardless of whether you're using word or Hburst.

This brings us to the conclusion that both heals are perfectly viable, but simply have different optimal situations. Any situation with more pinpoint/focused damage or pressure, such as spikes or splits, Word is far, far superior because it gives you an alternative to jumping straight to infuse that is less costly. However when facing pressure that is very spread out, such as hexes or condition-spread, leading to a lot of people being at low health or degen-ing, Burst becomes the more efficient heal.

End of the day, it's a gamble or personal preference decision. But I think it's a good thing they gave backline an alternative to WoH, to mix the bars up a little.

that's what they did.

Argument being, added heal lets you drop HP by a couple points, and invest in DF.

And it's more or less true. Only skill that suffers from above shift is sig of rejuv, but barely.
